Exploring the Weird and Wonderful World of Photos/Videos with No Context

The internet is a weird place filled with all sorts of things that you can imagine. Sometimes, you come across photos or videos that make you wonder how they were created and how they came to be. These are often called “photos/videos with no context” because they are unexpected and you wouldn’t necessarily see them in your daily life. They can be funny, amazing, strange, weird, or even just everyday things that are presented in a way that people don’t usually see.

One place where you can find these sorts of things is the r/hmmm subreddit on Reddit. With nearly 2 million members, this subreddit is dedicated to sharing content with no context. The name “hmmm” was chosen because that’s what you’ll be thinking when you see the content posted there.

Some people may say that things without meaning or purpose have no value, but that’s not necessarily true. If something brings you joy and doesn’t do any harm, it has value and deserves attention. So, even if these photos and videos may not have any specific meaning, it can still be fun to try to interpret them and see what we can make of them.
